Good morning, ladies and gentlemen! It’s really a great pleasure to me to stand here and say something about the environment.

“I have a dream, that someday even the peak of Appalachian would receive the green bless of the god.” Martin Luther King, Jr expressed his desire when giving the lecture “I have a dream”. Of course, I’m not here fighting for freedom. But please have a think, when will the snow in Mount Appalachian melt if we still have such kind of climate.

Wondering about it? But I’d like to show my concern about it.

Trees are being cut down, factories and cars are releasing more and more Greenhouse-effect gases. People may be losing their temper, but, gaining the environmental temperature. All the above make the greenhouse effect facing us more serious.

Well, have you heard of the sea level going up quickly? The whole nation of Maldives is suffering from it, whose land is to be flooded over before long. Have you heard of the mountain snow is on its way to disappear? The ski fans are sad to find no enough snow among the Alps. Then have you experienced the warm winter for years? No snow, no ice; No snowmen, no icy joys… It, is, the greenhouse effect. And in this case, the dream of the Junior is about to realize.

Fortunately just around us, we are still living in a city surrounded by green mountains and trees, and more and more people now have realized it. That means, people are taking actions to set, or restore more Anji-like elements to the environment.

Yeah, more and more countries are establishing the system of tree planting and protecting. Enterprises must plant more trees than they’ve taken. States are developing and using more alcohol fuel instead of coal and oil to reduce the carbon dioxide they make. And I even find the oil producer, Britain Petrol, is trying to calculate everyone’s daily release of co₂: “BP, NOT ONLY PETROL”. Yes, not only BP the reminder, but also all of us should contribute to it. Only in this way can we own a brighter future, a better environment.

One earth, one hometown. One world, one dream. Martin Luther King, Jr had his dreams. We, also have our dreams. Now I really have a dream that someday
