Hello, everybody! Today I^,m so happy to stand here to give you a speech. It^,s called Let^,s hand in hand. Now let me tell you the words from my heart.

If I am a tree ,I^,ll give my green leaves to the earth.

If I am a river, I^,ll give my clear water to the sea.

If I am a good student, I^,ll give the beauty to the earth——our same mother. But now, she^,s in danger.

In our life, we can see these things everywhere. Someone throws some litter on the ground. Someone spits in a public place Someone draws pictures on public walls. And someone cuts down trees.

I^,m sure we all like the earth with blue sky, green hill and red flower. When I think of them, I can^,t help smiling. But in our life, it seems to be a dream,just a beautiful dream! We all know protecting the earth is protecting ourselves . But in our life, few people do as they know. No! No! I don’t want to have only a dream, even though it’s so beautiful.We should do something for our mother. Now, let’s take it into action.

In fact, making a contribution to protecting the environment is easy. You just need to do like this.

1.When you throw rubbish, make sure that all of the rubbish goes into the dustbin.

2.Whenever you visit a park or beach, take away what you bring there—keep rubbish in a bag until you can put it in a dustbin.

3.Plant a tree every month and make sure it grows well.

4.Write a letter to a factory to ask them to stop  pouring dirty water into the lake nearby.

5.Don^,t use plastic bags, use baskets instead.

You see, it^,s so easy. Why can^,t we do these things? I’m sure we can do many other useful things. If We make up our minds to make our earth more and more beautiful,it will work.

Great changes are taking place, and not far in the future. Let^,s hand in hand, then we  will have confidence in making the sky bluer, the hill greener and the air fresher.

Remember, it^,s not only the duty of me but also the duty of you. So let^,s hand in hand!     Thanks for your listening!
