        Honorable judges, ladies and gentlemen:

I am glad to give you a speech here. My topic is don’t let our

mother---the earth cry!

   Yesterday, I had a dream. In the dream, I became a doctor. I had my own clinic on the Mars. One day after I finished curing a patient, I found another one coming. Oh, my god! It is the earth—our mother.  She was crying: Doctor, please save me !

   I noticed her and found a terrible scene in front of me. The earth was weak and looked sad. She said :“Doctor, I am going to die. look! My skin –the forests are cut down by people, my blood---the rivers and oceans---are polluted by the waste water from the factories, my children---people and animals kill each other. There wis no good place on the earth.

   Suddenly, I woke up. Bless me! It is just a dream. But will it be a dream forever? At present, environment damage is becoming a serious problem :we have to breathe the polluted air, drink the polluted water and eat the polluted food every day and more and more people die from the illness caused by pollution. Nature is punishing us. If we don’t do anything to save the earth, maybe the dream will become true soon. At that time, we can do nothing but cry for we have done to nature. It’s time we took some measures to protect the environment, otherwise, there will be no life left on the earth in the end.

No nature, no life! If we want to leave a better life and have a bright future, we must do our best to protect the environment:
　 Don’t let the earth---our mother cry! We have only one earth. Let us start respecting and caring for nature from now on. Let us start the campaign of creating a mutually beneficial relationship between people and nature right from this moment. With this new start, I firmly believe, that our children, and our children's children will live in a brand new age of green trees, clean air, crystal water, blue sky and an even more promising world!

   This is the end of my speech.
