Good morning， everyone.

I’m honored to be here to give my lecture. My name is Qian Xiaonan, English name Candy. I am a pupil in Class 2, Grade 6 in XiaoFeng Primary school. What I will talk about is Will we disappear like a dinosaur.

    As school children, we all like dinosaurs. But we all know dinosaurs’ world is only fantasy because they have died out. Why did they die out? It's obvious that the environment changed and so they couldn't adapt to it. Now we are facing the same problem.

 As we all know, last year the winter got warmer. I think it is because the earth is warmer than before. Why is the earth getting warmer? Everybody will say the earth is being polluted. That’s right.

Today, our world is developing quickly. Our life is getting happier. But our environment is being polluted.  We are cutting down trees, so the earth is being washed away. More and more cars are appearing on the roads and streets, so the air is being polluted. Waste things are thrown away everywhere, so we can often see colourful plastic bags. More and more factories have been set up, so more waste water are being poured into the rivers.  In a word, the environment is becoming worse. I think if we go on doing that, we will at last die out like dinosaurs.

So we should do something to protect the environment. First of all , waste things should not be thrown at our ease. We should plant trees after cutting down some old trees. Secondly, we should get into some good habits to deal with the environment. Finally, we should tell others that environment is very important to us because it is where we live and we can’t easily find another earth.

 If we don’t want to disappear like a dinosaur, please protect our earth.
