Step 5: Listen
(1) Listen and number
Listen and number the kinds of movies according to the recordings in 2a, Section A. Then check the answers. If necessary, listen again.

Sally:      No, I don’t like action movies.
Ben:       What kind of movies do you like?
Sally:      I like documentaries. What kind of movies do you like?
Ben:       I like documentaries, too, and comedies. I don’t like thrillers.
Sally:      You don’t?
Ben:       No. They’re scary.

 (2) Listen and fill in the chart
Let the students listen again and fill in the chart in 2b, Section A according to the recordings in 2a, Section A. If they are not clear yet, listen again.

 (3) Listen and imitate
Have the students listen one more time and repeat each sentence. Pay attention to the students’ reading. Help them and correct their pronunciation and intonation when necessary.
Step 6: Speak
(1) Give a model
Have a conversation with a student as a model. First with one of them like the following.
－Do you want to go to a(an) …movie?
－No, I don’t like …
－What kind of movies do you like?
－I like …
－What kind of movies do you like?
－I like ….
(2) Make a conversation
Ask the students to practice asking for and giving their opinions in pairs by following the example above.
(3) Act out
Let 3 or more pairs show how good their conversations are. Ask the other students to give their comments after each show. Of course, the teacher will also give his promotional comments on the students’ dialogues besides correcting the mistakes.
Step 7: Assign homework
       Ask the students to listen to the conversations in 1a, 2a of Section A. Record their reading of conversation 1 in 2a, Section A.
