四、第二课堂是提高学生学习兴趣的灵丹妙药

    开设多姿多彩的第二课堂有利于学生发挥才智，展示才华，是发展学生创新能力的广阔天地，如学唱英语歌曲、背诵英文诗歌、表演英语短剧、小品，欣赏原声影视片等。

    笔者利用第二课堂让学生尝试自编自演英语小品、短剧，如选择一些大家喜闻乐见的剧本选取几个易表演的片段，编排通俗易懂的台词外加旁白，布置简易的场景，设计富有表现力的动作加以表演。近年来笔者曾指导学生试演短剧《麦琪的礼物》、《威尼斯商人》、《项链》等剧本以及《发生在公交车上的故事》、《相约北京—2008》，其中《发生在公交车上的故事》荣获“溧阳市首届中小学生口语节目电视大赛”高中组一等奖，《“素质教育”新解》荣获“常州市思博杯首届中学生口语节目电视大赛”二等奖。通过第二课堂的短剧、小品表演，极大地激发了学生学习英语的兴趣，开拓了视野，增长了见识，了解英语国家的风土人情、人文历史、社会文化，逐步将语言的运用达到“炉火纯青、运用自如”的地步。

    取源于生活，又对生活高度概括的影视剧其语言是最为精炼，最有表达力的。利用第二课堂不时地欣赏一些原声片，学生会把学到的语言与实际运用中的语言进行比较，初步领会语言的某些实质，这样有助于进一步学习语言如原版片《远大前程》、《飘》、《红与黑》、《汤姆·索娅历险记》、《简爱》等经典名著，出于教学目的，还可以看双语片，反复看，直到学生有所收益。利用第二课堂欣赏原声影视片中的语言，有利于学生认识语言，提高学生语言的实用性和灵活性。

    另外，新教材内容涉及面广，但限于教材的结构，有的内容不可能做到点面结合，只能精取一二。这样教师在教学中有大量的内容需要填补，这就可以放在第二课堂中进行。如SEFC Book II B Unit 19 Martin Luther King Jr.课文中只提及他于1963年8月28日向成千上万的黑人发表举世闻名的演讲。为了让学生进一步了解这位杰出的黑人领袖，我把他的演讲稿“I have a dream”印发给学生，然后给他们听录音，进行模仿，进行朗诵比赛。这样学生们不仅在语音、语调、情感投入方面有所领悟，更主要是对课本内容以及历史背景有了更深刻的了解。

     兴趣是最好的老师。在教学中，要善于从多方面寻找方法，激发学生的学习兴趣，培养学生良好的学习情绪，采取多种多样的形式启发学生，激发他们的求知欲，使他们深切感受到学习知识的乐趣。
